Comedian Vivek happened to watch Suriya’s Anjaan recently and the actor has come in support for the film’s team. Though the movie has done good business at Box office, Anjaan has received negative reviews on the release day.
Suriya, Samantha, Vidyut Jammwal, Manoj Bajpai, Manobala and others starred Anjaan directed by Lingusamy is being credited for the performances and technicalities but the script falls flat.
Now that Vivek has watched Anjaan, he Tweeted: “Saw Anjaan. itz now sleek n entertaining.good.plz don’t condemn a film without due reasons!hard work of them shd b appreciated @dirlingusamy. Most of them who arrogantly abusing a film,saw it in the net or pirated cd.using media n stopping others 4m seeing also a cypher crime.Views of public at large are the final judgement. One shd bow to them. We can comment but need not b hostile. Thank u one n all.”
And said the movie is sleek and entertaining.
Suriya Sivakumar-starrer Tamil action-drama ‘Singam 2’, which released worldwide July 5, has got a good opening. It collected Rs.9.25 crore on the release day in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka despite getting criticism for being too lengthy.
“Reportedly made on a budget of Rs.45 crore, `Singam 2` collected a total of Rs.9.25 crore on the day of release from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka,” trade analyst Trinath told reporters.
The critics said Hari Gopalakrishnan`s directorial venture as over commercial and extremely lengthy, but it seems that the viewers are enjoying the film.
The success of “Singam 2” comes as a respite for Suriya after his last two releases – “7am Arivu” and “Maattrraan” failed to keep the cash registers ringing.
The film is a sequel to highly successful “Singam”, and Hari Gopalakrishnan went behind the camera to helm both the films.
Besides Suriya, “Singam 2” also features Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Nasser, Mukesh Rushi, Danny Sapani, Rahman, Radha Ravi, Santhanam, Vivek and Anjali.
The bar was set by ‘Maatrraan’ and ‘Billa 2’, which released in 61 screens across the USA, by ATMUS. Now ‘Singam 2’ is breaking the record, releasing in 63 screens in the USA. The movie will premiere today, the 4th of July, which is celebrated as the Federal Day in the United States. Back home, multiplex profit sharing issue has been settled, and the bookings for the film will open today evening. ‘Singam 2’ stars Suriya, Anushka, Hansika, Danny Sapani, Santhanam, Vivek and many others, and is helmed by director Hari.
Suriya-starrer Tamil action-drama “Singam 2” has been cleared with a U certificate with no cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film releases worldwide July 5.

It will release in 2,400 theaters, Prince Pictures, the producers, announced in a statement Thursday.
Also starring Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Vivek and Santhanam in important roles, “Singam 2” is directed by Hari Gopalakrishnan, who had previously helmed the first movie.
Suriya returns in the role of a righteous young cop in the sequel and he will lock horns with an international villain, played by Hollywood actor Danny Sapani, who is known for films such as “Oxford Murders” and “Trance”.
Suriya has wrapped up his works for Singam 2 and the actor is currently busy with the pre-release promotional activities. Recently, he was seen in AP for the Telugu dubbed version trailer launch of Singam and now Suriya is in Kochi for the film’s promotion.
Suriya is excited about the Singam 2 release and he is confident with the audio being huge hit. The Star actor received grand welcome in Kochi by the Malayalam fans and he has interacted with the media and fans.The actor also informed that he would do a straight Malayalam film if good script comes his way.
Hari directed Singam 2 casts Anushka, Hansika, Vivek and Santhanam in the other leads besides Suriya. The film is gearing up for a worldwide release on June 14
Suriya Sivakumar, who is currently gearing up for the release of upcoming Tamil action-drama Singam 2, doesn’t rule out donning khaki for the third installment of the film.
Suriya returns as a righteous young cop in Singam 2, which is the sequel to Tamil blockbuster Singam.
“I would love to do the third part of Singam provided my director has the patience and time to work again. The excitement with with which we have worked for this film has given me the confidence to work again if there is a third installment in the offing,” Suriya told reporters.
He was speaking at the audio launch of Singam 2, which is directed by Hari Gopalakrishnan, who had helmed the first part.
“We spent nearly eight months on this project and, therefore, time becomes crucial if we are planning to collaborate for the next part. Director Hari is already committed to his next project, so am I. If time permits, we may return soon,” he added.
The film also features Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Nassar, Vijayakumar, Santhanam, Vivek and Anjali, among others, in important roles.
Produced by Prince Pictures, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Singam 2 is scheduled to release on June 14.
Suriya starrer Singam 2 will have its audio launch on a grand scale as per the filmmakers plans. The launch event has been postponed by a day from 1st June to 2nd of the month and the film’s theatrical trailer will be unveiled on the same day.
If the buzz is to be believed several celebrities including Sudheep who played lead in Kannada version Singam and Ajay Devgan who stepped into Suriya’s shoes for hindi version are expected to grace the event. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer for Singam 2 which is a Studio Green Production movie.
Suriya plays the role of a tough cop as Duraisingam in the film pairing up with Hansika, Anushka. Santhanam and Vivek will be seen as supporting cast. Hari is wielding the megaphone for this action packed entertainer that is set for a release on June 14.
