Suriya’s Nayantara, Pranita Subhash starred Masss is gearing up for a grand release this Friday and the makers are tirelessly promoting the movie.
Starting with Kerala on Sunday, Suriya has met the fans and press in Cochi yesterday. Happy Suriya Tweeted, “Sooo much love!! Thank you Cochin”, sharing a picture.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu under Studio Green banner, Masss has cleared censors with clean U certificate and is eligible for 30% Entertainment Tax exemption, which also needs to have a Tamil title.
Makers of this Yuvan Musical apparently met the committee with new title “Massu Engira Maasilamani”. Viewers have to wait a little to know the decision of the committee.
According to theater owners, KE Gnanvelraja produced Masss advance and online ticket bookings will start from Wednesday, two days before release on May 29.

Given that the Masss is done with re-recording and gearing up for Telugu version Rakshasudu audio launch today [May 18], Masss will soon finish censor formalities and is sure to release on May 29.
Tamil star Suriya has teamed up with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu for the first time in forthcoming horror-comedy “Masss”. He says he likes how Venkat presents his actors in out-of-the-box subjects. “Venkat’s penchant for out-of-the-box stories has always impressed me. I also love the way he presents his actors in his films, as they’ve always been very realistic. aMasss’ has portrayed me in two completely different avatars,” Suriya told IANS.
“Venkat and I had initially planned to work in a love story. But as Venkat and co. managed to give this story a twist, I really liked the final output,” he said.
The film is about a conman who is taken for a ride by someone who’s not a normal human being.
“It has all the commercial elements, yet it’s not your regular hero versus villain film. There’s something very special about it and that credit goes to Venkat,” he said.
The film, which is slated for worldwide release on May 29, also stars Nayanthara and Pranitha Subhash.
It will have a simultaneous release in Telugu in which it’s titled “Rakshasudu”.
Suriya is currently busy shooting for Tamil action-thriller “24”, while he awaits the release of his maiden production “36 Vayadhinile”, starring his wife Jyotika.
Suriya is happy for his wife, who is making a comeback after eight years.
“We’re all excited about the movie. It’s a movie for the society, especially for women who give up on their dreams. Jyotika is glowing on screen,” he added.
Meanwhile, his second production venture “Haiku”, a Tamil children’s film, will also release soon.
Tamil actor Suriya’s forthcoming film Rakshasudu-Telugu version of Masss is gearing up for grand audio launch in Hyderabad.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music for this supernatural thriller. After the Masss songs topped charts, Rakshasudu songs will be released on coming Monday.
KE Gnanavelraja’s Studio Greens produced Rakshasudu official teaser garnered huge attention from audiences and are eagerly waiting for music album to be unveiled on 18th May.
Suriya, Director Venkat Prabhu, Yuvan are expected to grace the Rakshasudu audio release event along with heroines Nayantara and Pranitha Subash.
The shoot of ‘Masss’, which has Suriya in the lead, has come to an end. Director Venkat Prabhu is so happy with the way the film has taken shape.

The film has Nayanthara and Pranitha as the female leads. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the audio is expected to be unveiled very soon. The film is slated to hit the screens on May 15.
‘Masss’ is tipped to be a fun-filled eerie thriller. Suriya is said to be doing more than one role.

Suriya’s 2D Entertainments producing Masss has completed 80% of shooting including two songs. Masss unit is expected to fly Bangkok soon to shoot remaining songs and its a wrap.
For now, Masss is being planned to hit the big screens for Tamil New year, on 14th April 2015.
Director Venkat Prabhu’s Masss is a huge film with Suriya, Nayantara and Amy Jackson in the lead roles and latest inclusion to the film’s cast is Malayalam actor Jayaram.
The actor who has played a negative role in Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja will be essaying an important role in Suriya’s Masss. As usual Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music for this Venkat Prabhu’s directorial.
Interestingly, Mass will mark Yuvan’s 6th collaboration with Venkat Prabhu, 7th with Suriya and 8th with Nayantara. After making Yuvan’s milestone 1000th film with Biriyani, Venkat Prabhu is joining editor Praveen KL’s 50th film Masss.
