Suriya’s Anjaan opposite Samantha is all set to hit the screens worldwide this Friday, on Independence day. Lingusamy directed Anjaan will hit all the screens in digital format, says producers.
UTV CEO Dhananjayan tweeted: “Digital revolution in South India. Anjaan will be the 1st high budget film with a huge star, which will release only through digital screens. No physical print is allowed for Anjaan screening anywhere in the world. Having shot the film with 6K resolution quality, we want only digital.”
The digital projection of a film will help to curb piracy, as there will be a special code in digital format which can trace the origin of piracy.
Suriya-Samantha starring Anjaan is expected to take huge openings for the 3-day weekend on August 15. The film will release in more than 1500 screens worldwide including Tamil and Telugu versions.
Thirupathi Brothers and UTV has jointly produced Anjaan with Yuvan Shanakar Raja’s music.
Suriya’s Anjaan is all set to hit the mega screens for Independence Day weekend on August 15th and makers are planning to unveil the film’s theatrical trailer a week before on August 8th.
Well according to UTV’s CEO Dhananjayan, “#Anjaan trailer to be premiered in @SunMusic first at 9 a.m on 8th (promotions commences soon). Will be up in @YouTube at 10.10 a.m.”, he tweeted.
Directed and co-produced by Lingusamy under Thirupathi brothers banner, Anjaan trailer will be screened in theaters from Friday, 8th August across Tamil Nadu and the reals will be dispatched by tomorrow. Samantha, Vidyuth Jamwal, Manoj Bajpai and others played important roles in Anjaan. Yuvan Shankar Raja takes care of music, Santosh Sivan handles cinematography and editing is by Antony.
Suriya and Samantha starring Anjaan is in final stages of shooting and the filmmaker Lingusamy is filming some important fight sequences with Suriya on the last of shoot that falls on Saturday.
Sources close to the unit claimed: “Today will be the last day of Anjaan shooting in Mumbai Fort area with Suriya and some fighters. Film now poised for Aug 15 release.”
Makers of Anjaan have ample time for the post-production works and the censor formalities. Hence, Suriya’s Anjaan is expected to hit the screens on Independence Day as planned earlier.
Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers and UTV jointly Producing Anjaan will enjoy the music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Manoj Bajpai, Vidyut Jamwal, Rajpal Yadav and Dalip Tahil are also part of Anjaan cast.
Upcoming Tamil film Anjaan featuring Suriya and Samantha in the leads has resumed its shooting in Mumbai from today, March 5th after a small break.

Suriya’s Anjaan team lead by director Lingusamy will be shooting major portions of the film during this schedule. UTV’s Dhananjayan has joined Anjaan unit in Mumbai along with complete cast and crew.
Anjaan is the joint production venture of Thirupathi Brothers and UTV. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer and Santosh Sivan is handling the camera. Suriya’s Anjaan is scheduled for August 15 release.
