Suriya’s next with Venkat Prabhu?!

There are multiple versions doing rounds about the next film of Venkat Prabhu, post the gigantic success of this director’s last venture, Ajith-starrer ‘Mankatha’. And one of them claims he would work with Suirya for his forthcoming project, which would get soon kick-start!

“Suirya was thoroughly impressed with a one-liner narrated by Venkat Prabhu and is game for working with him. However, it may take some time for the actor to start the film, as he has to honour his earlier commitments as he is busy with Maatraan and would do a film with Hari after that,” sources say.

Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Mankatha’ is emerging the blockbuster of the year, with box-office reports claiming never-before figures. The film has been declared a super hit in all centers and is still running strong, exactly a month after its release.

Suriya’s Chinese avatar: Details revealed

By now, we all know that Suriya will play the role of a Buddhist monk (Bodhidharma) in his much awaited 7 Aum Arivu, directed by A.R. Murugadoss. There are reports that Suriya will sport the look of a Buddhist monk for only 20 minutes in the film. Here are more details on the role. Suriya will appear as a Tamil prince from Kancheepuram who travels to China and became a well-respected monk there. Director Murugadoss has done a lot of research on the role and sources who have seen the raw version of the film are amazed with Suriya’s performance.

The story is said to revolve around a time machine brought to India by a scientist (played by Shruti or Suriya according to conflicting versions). The film is also being dubbed in Hindi and Telugu. 7 Aum Arivu is a sci-fi thriller in which Suriya plays a double role and Shruti Haasan is the heroine. Ravi K. Chandran handles the camera while Harris Jayaraj is the music director.

Suriya pairs Abhinaya in 7am Arivu

Latest buzz in the tinsel town is that Naadodigal fame Abhinaya has paired Suriya in 7am Arivu. Yes, don’t get confused, Abhinaya has shared the screen space with Suriya in the flashback while Shruti Haasan will be seen as the main lead pair.

The director of the film AR Murugadoss has instructed the team not to reveal this secret until the film releases but somehow it has been revealed through some media sources.

Though Abhinaya’s role appears in the flashback but she has enough weightage in the film. The flashback is said that the flashback in the film forms the crux of the story. If all goes well 7am Arivu will be a landmark film Abhinaya’s career.

The audio launch of the film is set to take place on September 22nd in Chennai while the film is slated for Diwali release.

7 Aum Arivu: Ten crores intro scene for Suriya

The latest buzz is that the producers have spent nearly ten crores for the introduction scene of Suriya in 7 Aum Arivu. Made with a whopping budget of Rs. 84 crores, this is the highest budget film in Suriya’s career till date. 7 Aum Arivu, which has Suriya and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles, is likely to grace theatres on October 28, 2011 (Diwali weekend). The director is currently busy with the post production works and the music launch will take place in Chennai on September 22, 2011. The story is said to revolve around a time machine which is brought to India by a scientist. 7 Aum Arivu is a sci-fi thriller in which Suriya plays a triple role: a circus artist, a Buddhist monk and a scientist. Vietnamese stunt actor Johnny Tri Nguyen will play the baddie.

Suriya as Bodhi Dharma in 7am Arivu

Here is some interesting update of Suriya’s much awaited film 7am Arivu. It is well known that Suriya is reportedly playing three characters; a circus artist, a scientist and a Buddhist monk, set in China in the 14th century.
Now have something more to reveal about Suriya’s Buddhist monk role in the film. The actor plays Bodhi Dharma, a great saint who lived in Kanchipuram in Fifth Century AD and is still worshiped in China as he has taught all good things to people. He will also be having a temple in China built by a Tamilian. The film has completed the special effects work at Stan Winston Studios in US. The introduction scene of Suriya will be one of the major highlight of the film where the producer has liberally spent nearly Rs 10 crore for the first ten minutes of run.

7 am Arivu is made with a whopping budget of Rs. 84 crores and surprisingly this is the highest budget film in Suriya’s career till date.
