K.V. Anand’s pre-production for his upcoming film Maatran is getting completed now. The filmmaker and his writer team Subha have almost completed the final draft of script. The film is said to go on floors by July 22 and both K.V. Anand and Harris are taking off to Rome to compose tunes. This will be a unique trip as the duo will compose tunes travelling in a cruise sailing across the Mediterranean.
Harris Jayaraj usually prefers foreign trips to compose tracks for his albums and had his journey to London recently for ‘Nanban’ along with Shankar.
With the team of K.V. Anand-Harris spelling out consecutive hits in Ayan and Ko, the expectations have become huge with Maatran.
The first schedule of Suriya’s Maatran will begin in the second week of July. The unit will be shooting in and around Chennai and Suriya’s scenes will be filmed first. On its completion, KV Anand is considering shooting the second schedule in Russia where it is expected that Kajal Agarwal, the heroine will join the team.
Having spent the last few months perfecting the script, the Maatran team is moving to the next phase – the actual filming itself. There is a lot of anticipation in the air as KV Anand and his leading man Suriya are teaming up after their last successful outing Ayan.
Actor Surya is riding high on success of almost all his movies. Although his previous movie ‘Rattha Charithram’ wasn’t a good hit, the actor was lauded for his performance.
Now he is close on the heels of completing his next movie ‘7am Arivu’ that is touted to be a medical thriller directed by A.R Murugadoss and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under the banner name of Red Giant Movies. Soon after wrapping up with this movie, he will soon start filming his next project titled as ‘Maatran’ The film is again a challenging project for Surya as he will play 5 different roles. After he is done with this project, he will come together joining hands with Hari for the fourth time. Right now Hari is busy wrapping up the shooting of his present project ‘Vengai’ starring Dhanush and Thamannah in lead roles.
Suriya has endeavoring with his earnest efforts through the challenging roles. And now, following the grand success of ‘Perazhagan’ and ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, the actor is all set to perform dual role in his upcoming movie ‘Maatran’. Might be, this one may sound to be a normal factor, but is more off a difference. Guess what? Suriya plays the role of a Siamese twin, which means twins born with their body attached together. Well, K.V. Anand had mentioned that the film is based on the concept – ‘The End of Something is Beginning of Something’. The filmmaker has already started working on the script and will start shooting for the film once Suriya completes his present project ‘Ezham Arivu’. As of now, the technicians confirmed for the project are music director Harris Jayaraj and Editor Anthony. The official announcements on the film’s crew will be made shortly.
