Speaking at the Anjaan audio launch, Suriya revealed that Yenni Ezhu Naal is one among the three scripts narrated by Lingusamy to him.
Suriya said, “Before we started Anjaan, Lingusamy narrated me three scripts. All of them are interesting, but I chose Anjaan because the character suits me better”.
Further Suriya added, “One among the three superb scripts is ‘Yenni Ezhu Naal’ and Karthi will be acting in it”.
Post Anjaan release on August 15 for Independence day, director-producer Lingusamy will kick start Yenni Ezhu Naal from September. Samantha is likely to pair opposite Karthi in the movie.
Viewers are aware that Suriya will join director Venkat Prabhu’s next film some time soon. Now we hear that the filmmaker has signed in lyricist Madhan Karky to write the dialogues for his movie.
Apparently, Madhan Karky Tweeted: “Having super fun working on dialogues for @dirvenkatprabhu’s upcoming project with actor Surya.”
Venkat Prabhu, who has given a break to Karthi with his latest release Biriyani was known for his own screenplay and dialogues. This yet-to-be-titled Suriya starrer might be his first film that will not have dialogues penned by him.
Pre-production works of Suriya-Venkat Prabhu film are going on in rapid pace. Yuvan Shankar Raja will take care of music while RD Rajasekhar handles camera and Studio Greens is producing it.
Meanwhile, Suriya is busy wrapping up Anjaan directed by Lingusamy with Samantha as the female lead.
Just before few minutes, it was an official confirmation from the producers of Studio Green Films that Venkat Prabhu will be directing the next movie of Suriya. Following the grand success of Mankatha, Venkat Prabhu director Karthi in ‘Biriyani’ that is scheduled for release on December 20… Now, Suriya will start shooting for this film, once he is done with the new project with Lingusamy that is rolling on the floors. The next schedule of this movie will commence tomorrow at Mumbai with scenes featuring Samantha shot there.
Telugu audio launch of Studio Green’s presenting Karthi’s Biriyani happened yesterday [Dec 6] in Hyd. Speaking at the audio launch, producer KE Gnanavelraja has announced his direct Telugu film with Suriya.
“Everytime while releasing our Telugu dubbing versions of Tamil films, people are questioning us about our direct Telugu movie. Now we are happy to announce our direct Telugu movie that will start in August with Suriya in the lead and will be directed by a Top Telugu director,” said Gnanavelraja.
Though there is no clue about the director, cast and crew of his upcoming Suriya starrer, official announcement of Gnanavelraja has opened doors to certain conclusions among fans, as there was buzz that director Puri Jagannadh is planning to do his next film with Suriya.
Meanwhile, Suriya is busy with Lingusamy’s film with Samantha and also line up with Venkat Prabhu’s directorial.
The much-awaited Tamil film ‘Singam 2’, starring Suriya went on the floors Wednesday [Sep 19], on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi. Director Saravanan of Engeyum Eppothum fame has shot the first shot on Suriya, while Sivakumar, Karthi et al took part in the pooja.
Director Hari is helming ‘Singam 2’, which is a sequel to the 2010 smash hit ‘Singam’, with actors Suriya, Hansika Motwani and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. Comedians Santhanam and Vivek have also been roped in to provide some laughter moments.
Suriya’s role as a righteous cop in ‘Singam’ was one of his career-best performances. The film’s commercial success led to remakes such as ‘Singham’ in Hindi, ‘Kempe Gowda’ in Kannada and ‘Shatru’ in Bengali. Rohit Shetty directed the Hindi version with Ajay Devgn and Kajal Agarwal was a box-office winner and also joined Bollywood ‘Rs.100 crore’ club.
Devi Sri Prasad has been signed on to compose music for ‘Singam 2’, and the composer has already stared composing tunes. “Having fun in the studio composing for Singam 2. Suriya came and spent some time. We all had a great time,” Devi tweeted recently. Meanwhile, Suriya’s upcoming Tamil film ‘Mattrraan’ is slated to release in October.
