Suriya’s upcoming Tamil production “Haiku”, a children’s drama, has been renamed “Pasanga 2”.
“It was a decision taken keeping in mind the request of distributors. Also, ‘Haiku’ is not a recognised Tamil word and this would mean no tax exemption. Hence, we decided to change the title to ‘Pasanga 2’,” the film’s director Pandiraj, told.
He also clarified that the film is not a sequel to his National Award winning Tamil children’s drama “Pasanga”.
Starring Suriya and Amala Paul in cameos, the film is said to address the theme of attention deficit disorder (ADD) among children.
It is known that after the success of Singam 2, Suriya has not started any of his projects. Though ace directors Gautham Menon and Lingusamy signed Suriya well in advance their scripts are not ready yet. Meanwhile, Suriya is expected to start his next with director AL Vijay.
Vijay is presently busy with the post-production works of his Aug 9th releasing Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Amala Paul starrer Thalaivaa. Close sources reported, “AL Vijay and Suriya had a story discussion for 15 minutes and the star actor seems to be impressed with the story-line. Both are looking forward to working together.”
All the three directors Lingusamy, Gautham Menon and AL Vijay are busy writing the scripts for Suriya. But, viewers have to wait a little to know which film will be Suriya’s next.
