Suriya has put the super success of ‘Singam’ behind and is ready for Murugadoss film. The first schedule of ‘7am Arivu’ was to happen in China and the unit was gearing to shoot the first song featuring Suriya and Shruthi Haasan in China.
But now some additional dates given by Suriya to Ram Gopal Varma for ‘Raththa Charithiram’ have changed the plan a bit. Ram Gopal Varma wanted to re-shoot some sequences and so Suriya had given additional 15 days to RGV.
As the availability of Suriya was delayed for the China schedule Murugadoss has decided to make the first schedule happen in Chennai and the China trip has been postponed to second schedule.
According to new plan the first shot will be canned in Chennai on June 21. The first schedule in Chennai will involve only Suriya.
There are many big names in Bollywood industry, big family’s, big banners. But RGV’S factory is a true exception. He came from south and set in, made his name and fortune in some years.
Following the tracks of RGV, Telugu cinema’s most successful director Puri Jagannath is relocating to Mumbai. Jagannath, who is the highest paid director in South, is to make The Businessman, a film in Hindi.
He was earlier planning to direct Amitabh Bachchan starrer Buddha Don’t F…K with him, but has put it on shelf.
Surya will be starring in The Businessman. It’s the story of a gangster’s journey from Chennai to Mumbai and will be shot in three languages Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Puri has written the screenplay and none of the three leading individuals is fluent in Hindi. Neither does Puri, Ramu nor Surya. But they don’t think that would be a problem as Murugadoss who directed Ghajini; and Prabhu Deva who directed Wanted, didn’t knew Hindi.
Years ago Puri tried to crack the Hindi market with a film starring Tusshar Kapoor which was a disaster. Puri sees, The Businessman as his real beginning in Bollywood.
The Businessman will start shooting in September.
During the success meet of Kola Kolaya Mundhrika, actor Sarath Kumar mentioned that Bollywood films are doing well because of the heroes coming together without any egos. Since Tamil films are not doing well, Sarath Kumar said that it is all because of it. Hearing the request of Sarath Kumar, Surya and his younger brother Karthi have decided to come together on the screen.
They are planning for a film that has scope for both of them and soon the other details about the technical and actors team will be announced.
Karthi is busy with Naan Mahan Alla and remake of Vikramakudu and Surya with 7 AUM Arivu.
Sooner there maybe some good news from these brothers and let them begin a new way in Kollywood leading other actors to act together as well.
A grand audio launch function is being planned for ‘Vamsam’, a film which would mark the arrival of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi’s grandson Arulnidhi Thamizharasu as hero.
If sources are to be believed, the music release event is scheduled in Chennai on July 2. The Chief Minister would preside over the function and would release the audio.
And the first copy would be received by Vijay and Suriya, the two top league actors of Tamil cinema. Many big guns of Kollywood would attend the grand function, sources maintain.
Arrangements for the event are being made by M K Thamizharasu, Arulnidhi’s father and the producer of ‘Vamsam’. Directed by Pandiraj of ‘Pasanga’ fame, ‘Vamsam’, set in the backdrop of a village in southern Tamil Nadu, has Sunaina as heroine.
Actor Surya made his appearance as a shy reserved boy, where he was hesitant to keep embrace the heroines’ shoulders. He was deliberately backwards in dancing and so was his kind of films he did for the first 15 projects.
But now the actor has gone ahead in places with 8 continuous blockbusters: Ghajini, Aaru, Sillunu Oru Kadhal, Vel, Vaaranam Aayiram, Ayan, Aadhavan and recently release Singam. There is no doubt about his upcoming films turning to be a greater hit getting him reached than the place he is present now.
It is because all his three upcoming films will be made directly in Hindi and Telugu. Ram Gopal Varma’s Raktha Charithram is getting released in two parts for Hindi and Telugu. A.R. Murugadoss’ 7 AUM ARIVU is also getting made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The third project is Businessman, which is produced by Ram Gopal Varma and is directed by Puri Jaganath.
So Surya is going to have more fans across India as Hindi and Telugu film industry is already looking out for his movies.
Actor Surya is busily shooting for the trilingual film ‘7 AUM Arivu’ with Shruthi Haasan in female lead and A.R, Murugadoss directing the film. The film’s shooting will be going on till the mid of 2010 and the film is getting released somewhere in January or February 2010.
But now itself, the fans of Surya have started to enquire about his other projects that will kick start after these pending ones. There is something we heard from the closer units that Surya may once again join hands with Gowtham Menon.
The other film may be done for Madras Talkies and about Manirathnam directing the film is not confirmed. Director Vasanth, who introduced Surya in Kollywood, is also looking out for a chance to direct him.
