Lingusamy to hook Surya for his next

Lingusamy’s Vettai which featured Madhavan & Arya in the leads was a hit and with all that success, the director is now set to light up his next venture soon with Surya. As the director is busy penning the script of his Vettai Hindi remake and with the unavailability of Shahid Kapoor’s dates, the director seems to has hooked up for his next one.
Surya has been approached by the director and seems that the actor also given verbal consent to the director. The movie will Kick after the much hyped movie of Surya, Maatraan which is a KV Anand project.

Talks are that if the Vettai hindi remake gets delayed, the director is in plans to drop the movie for his next movie being the reason.

Jyothika wants to act: Suriya


In a recent interview actor Suriya has revealed that his wife and former actress Jyothika still has the desire to get back to acting. He made it a point to clarify that it wasn’t his decision to keep her away from acting. But when quizzed him as to why she takes up only endorsements but not films, Suriya explains that shoot for endorsement lasts only for a couple of days and that she thinks she cannot afford spending long time in shooting spots without being there for her children. The Maatraan actor also said that his lady will come to act when she thinks that it is the appropriate time. Jyothika’s last release was Seetha Kalyanam in Malayalam.

Surya with 500 dancers


Actor Surya along with Kajal Agarwal and 500 dancers is shaking a leg for a peppy romantic number for ‘Maatraan‘ in the scorching heat of Jodhpur. The team is shooting in a high temperature of 41 degrees in the desert.

The film that was initially slated for a summer release saw an indefinitely delay thanks to a tussle between FEFSI and TFPC.

‘Maatraan‘ is a high voltage action entertainer that brings back to big screen the hit combination of KV Anand, Surya and Harris Jayaraj who earlier delivered blockbuster ‘Ayan‘. This film has Kajal Agarwal as the lead lady.

‘Maatraan‘ that has some stunts captured with performance motion capture technology is touted to see Suriya in more than one dimension, with both positive and negative shades.

Suriya to launch Naan Ee audio

Tamil actor Suriya is going to unveil the audio of Naan Ee being directed by SS Rajamouli on April 1st.

Naan Ee is the bilingual film that casts Veppam fame Nani and Samantha in the lead roles, Kannada actor Sudeep will be playing the main antagonist role in this socio-fantasy movie. Naan Ee story line revolves around Nani, who takes revenge on his death by reincarnating as a fly. Remember Rajamouli is the director of Tollywood blockbuster Magadheera don by Ram Charan Tej with Kajal Agarwal as his love interest, which is dubbed into Tamil as Maveeran and got good response from the viewers.

SS Rajamouli being a top notch director in Tollywood launching the audio of Telugu version ‘Eega’ on March 30th, following with that of Naan Ee on 1st April. Who’s and who’s of film industry are expected to grace audiences with their presence at the audio launch event.

Suriya’s Maatraan shooting in Wai


Suriya is in news again with his Maatraan directed by K.V.Anand, the high budgeting movie ever in his career. The Ayan star is shaking legs with Kajal Agarwal, in director’s favourite place Wai, near Pune.

Maatraan team is exclusively shooting a romantic song in this prettiest place with Suriya and Kajal shaking legs. Wai is one of the most beautiful places in India that includes Mahabaleshwar, Dhom Lake, Krishna River and valley. Remember Wai was seen in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Sivaji directed by Shankar and Anand worked as cameraman for that film.

Kalpathi S Aghoram producing Maatraan is being a trustworthy film, as the makers are specially using performance capture technology for some of the action sequences. Harris Jayraj is composing music for this film, with duo expecting a hattrick after their combo in Suriya’s Ayan and Jeeva starrer KO.

Suriya to dub on his own in Telugu

That ‘Maatraan’ would hit the screens in Telugu as ‘Duplicate’ is no more news. But the news is that Suriya would personally dub for the film! “Yes, I will speak on my own for my character. I am thrilled about it,” he says.
In a lighter vein, he says, “My younger brother Karthi is already dubbing on his own in Telugu and films like Aawara (Paiyaa) have fetched him good name. I am sure I will beat him by personally dubbing for Duplicate.”

Expressing gratitude to Telugu audience for their support to his family, Suriya said, “It is great news that movies starring me and Karthi are expected in Andhra Pradesh. We are thankful to the overwhelming patronage here.”

On ‘Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi’, the Tamil version of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ which is currently hosting on Vijay TV, Suriya said, “I was bit nervous since this is my first television show as an anchor. But things are cool now.”

Suriya steals the ‘show’

Monday (February 27) was an important day for Suriya for the actor took the avatar of a television anchor by hosting ‘Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi’, the Tamil version of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, on Vijay TV.
The actor emerged a winner in this new trade too, as the way he presented the hugely anticipated show won him applause from all possible circles. From his colleagues to friends to fans, everyone is congratulating him, we learn.

“This is because of the homework Suriya did before he started shooting for Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi. He personally visited the sets of KBC on Mumbai, took notes on how the show is being hosted there and even met Amitabh Bachchan,” sources say.

On the acting front, Suriya is currently giving finishing touches to KV Anand-directed ‘Maatraan’, which is expected to hit the screens this summer. On its completion, the actor is expected to join hands once again with his lucky mascot, director Hari.
